Recently, The Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway in Guizhou and the Pingguo-Nanning Expressway in Guangxi, which were co-built by First Highway Engineering of CCCC, were completed and opened to traffic. These two highways are of significance to promoting rural revitalization along the routes.
The Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway
The Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway connects with the Shanghai-Chengdu expressway (G42), and is part of the Chengdu-Zunyi Expressway (G4215). The Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway, a 52.4-kilometer highway with six-lanes, has a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
After opening to traffic, the expressway will open a road to development for the people along the route, strongly promote the development of the local tourism and the sales of agricultural and local specialties, enhance the connection between the villages and cities along the route, and help the economic and social development of the northern part of Guizhou.
Pingguo-Nanning Expressway
The Pingguo-Nanning Expressway is 81.98 kilometers long, with a 6 lanes and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
The expressway is located on the karst landscape, which is recognized as the most difficulty construction area by the engineering community. Planting grass on the stony slopes of the karst landscape is like planting grass on the rocks, the project department added ingredients such as agglomerates and natural binders to the soil, seeds and fertilizers for planting, and the soil sticks firmly to the steep slopes.
The road adopted 3D intelligent paving technology for the video monitoring system, which improved the quality of the project and guaranteed the construction safety. During the construction, the project applied more than 70 "four new technologies" (new technologies, new materials, new processes, new equipment) and micro-innovations.
Along the expressway, there is a variety of special agricultural products and animal husbandry products, such as wo tangerine, dragon fruit and pigs. The expressway will inject new impetus to the economic and social development of Nanning and Wuming.
