Recently, the world's longest highway tunnel under construction—the tunneling of the tunnel portal of Tianshan Shengli reached 3000-meter mark.
Recently, the world's longest highway tunnel under construction—the tunneling of the tunnel portal of Tianshan Shengli reached 3000-meter mark.
The tunnel is a key project of Xinjiang Wuwei Highway, with a total length of 22.13 kilometers. It passes through a cold and high altitude zone, with harsh climate, geological condition and great construction difficulty. The project used a TBM boring machine to create a working surface for the tunneling of the tunnel portal, effectively shortened construction period.
After completion, it will link the northern and southern parts of Xinjiang, which is of great significance to Xinjiang's economic development.
