The main work of the Peljesac Bridge and its linking-up road project in Croatia passed the acceptance check.

Recently, the main work of the Peljesac Bridge and its linking-up road project in Croatia, which was constructed by CCCC, passed the acceptance check.

The Peljesac Bridge and its linking-up road project is the largest transportation project built by Chinese enterprises in Croatia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia. The project is 3.94 kilometers long, including 2.44 kilometers of bridge and 1.5 kilometers of linking-up roads on both sides. The main bridge is a six-tower single plane cable-stayed bridge. The project adopted EU construction standards and started construction on July 30, 2018.
During construction, the project team has overcome a number of technical problems, such as the deep-water rock-socketed super-long diameter steel pipe piles, the application of C70/85 high-strength grade self-compacting concrete in the construction of cable towers, the manufacture and assembly of EXC4 steel box girders, the installation of superstructures of multi-span cable-stayed bridges and closing-up accuracy.
After the completion of the bridge, it will shorten the passage time between the two places across the sea. It is no longer necessary to bypass Bosnia and Herzegovina for people to travel between the north and south of Croatia.
