Landsky Technology Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Urban-Rural Holdings Group Co., Ltd., provided an creative light show for the National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the Ice Ribbon. As one of the Winter Olympics venues, the Ice Ribbon, inspired by the combination of winter sports and speed, has 22 creative ribbons hovering high and low and fluttering around it. The circling "ice ribbons" symbolize the tracks left by the speed skaters at a high speed, and the 22 "ice ribbons" also signify hosting the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022.

 

Landsky, by making use of the light guiding effect of the color glaze film, guided the light into the glass, presenting a soft visual effect. In terms of light and color, Landsky has chose an artistic tone in line with the Ice Ribbon, and also set such modes as daily mode, competition mode, celebration mode to meet the needs of multiple occasions. In the evening, it lights up the night sky together with Bird’s Nest, Water Cube, Linglong Tower and the watchtower of Beijing Olympic Park,  presenting a magnificent and dazzling night scene.

 

In addition, Landsky also provided the outdoor creative light shows for the Yanqing Olympic Village and the Mountain Media Center.

 

The Yanqing Olympic Village, situated on a hillside, follows the design concept of building venues in the forest and hosting an ecological Winter Olympic, respects the nature, and integrates the venue buildings and the mountain environment. Guided by the concept of ecological Winter Olympics, Landsky planned an outdoor creative light show for Yanqing Olympic Village. The company designed a night light show, which reveals the Winter Olympics culture and the beauty of Chinese landscape while preserving the culture of villages and historical relics .

 

The creative light show in the Yanqing Olympic Village has a normal mode and late-night mode, and can be used in different occasions. The light show highlights the coordination among various elements such as mountains, roads, buildings, plants, and water bodies, creating a tranquil night scene of traditional villages in the mountains commonly seen in northern China. Meanwhile, Chinese lanterns are also selected to showcase the Chinese charm.

 

The Mountain Media Center near the Yanqing Olympic Village is also a masterpiece of "green Olympics". It is the first building-photovoltaic integrated application project in the Yanqing competition zone of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The creative light show of the Mountain Media Center continues the architectural features of the mountain, so that the media center is tucked away in the mountain. With the sunken courtyard and the central pool as visual focuses, the project increases the lighting level and restores the original function of the south facade of the building with trails, split-level viewing platforms, the interior roofs of the building, and the raised sunshades. It is not only energy saving, but also matches the surrounding environment.
