Recently, Yuedean Zhanjiang Wailuo offshore wind power project in Guangdong , undertaken by Jiangsu Longyuan Zhenhua Marine Engineering, a subsidiary of Zhenhua Port Machinery Co. Ltd., was connected to the grid for power generation with full capacity.

With a total installed capacity of 600 MW, the project consist of 36 typhoon-resistant wind turbines with a single capacity of 5.5 MW, 32 offshore wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.45 MW and 32 offshore wind turbines with a single capacity of 6.25 MW. This is the first domestic large-scale application of domestically made large-capacity anti-typhoon wind turbines of more than 5 megawatts in China.

The project is expected to send to the power grid annually about 1.5 billion kWh after the total installed capacity of the project. It will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.23 million tons, which will provide strong support for Guangdong Province to accelerate its adjustment and optimization of the energy structure and achieve the "dual carbon" goal.
