Recently, Mawan Smart Port, the first 5G smart port in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, designed by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd and undertaken by CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd, officially opened.

Mawan Smart Port, located in Shekou Port, Shenzhen, covering an area of around 980,600 square meters, with a total berth coastline length of 1,930 meters and a designed throughput capacity of over 3 million TEUs, has been upgraded from the original four bulk cargo berths to two special berths for 200,000dwt containers. It can be used for berthing of the world's largest container ships.

The commissioning of the Mawan Smart Port will reduce nitrogen dioxide emissions by approximately 1,350 tons per year, providing important support for building Shenzhen into a global marine center and a hub port as well as a pilot city with strong transportation network.
