The SIDC bridge is located in Mindanao, spanning the Pakiputan Strait, connecting Davao City and Samal Island. The bridge is a two-tower cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 3.81 kilometers, including a 1.62-kilometer section across the sea. With four lanes and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, the bridge will significantly shorten the travel time between Davao City and Samar Island after completion, change the history that people in the two places could only take the ferryboat to cross the strait, effectively explore the economic resources and tourism potential of Davao City and Samar Island, and further promote the development of logistics, tourism, trade and other fields of the two places.
