Recently, China International Television (CGTN) broadcast the Jin'an Jinshajiang Bridge in Yunnan Province built by CCCC and its positive effect on regional economic development, demonstrating the strength of Chinese infrastructure and introducing Chinese standards to the world.
CGTN's Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Weibo accounts, official App and other platforms broadcasted the program, and CCCC's and Xin's Facebook accounts rebroadcasted the program. The video has accumulated more than 1.8 million views and about 6,000 likes and retweets worldwide.
The Jin'an Jinshajiang Bridge is an important project of the Huaping-Lijiang Highway, with a main span of 1,386 meters, which is the world's largest span mountain suspension bridge. The vertical difference between the bridge surface and the river’s surface in the valley below is 335 meters.
As the world's largest span mountain suspension bridge, the bridge also set three world records.
First, the bridge deck width to span diameter ratio is one to fifty-one. Such a small ratio puts forward higher requirements for the bridge's structure, especially wind resistance.
Second, in order to solve the problem of fatigue and cracking of the steel deck, the bridge adopts a fusion welding process.
Third, in terms of the installation of the steel trusses, a 220-ton cable crane was developed, with a span of 1,386 meters. It is the world's largest cable crane in the bridge industry, achieving a breakthrough in suspension bridge lifting equipment.
The bridge also installed a FRP drainage pipe to collect rainwater from the bridge, the rainwater was put into the drainage tank below the deck, and then discharged into the reservoir above the bearing platform as firefighting water.
upon completion, the driving time between the river banks is shortened from 1 hour to just 1 minute. The driving time from Panzhihua to Lijiang is also shortened by more than half.
With the opening of the Huaping-Lijiang Highway, local crops such as mangoes, walnuts and peaches can also be shipped faster to the rest of the country, which will benefit local people. Tourists from neighboring provinces can drive to Lijiang to promote the development of local tourism.
