CHEC wins the Port/Terminal Construction Contractor of the Year of Global Ports Forum

On September 28, the at 2022 Global Ports Forum Awards was held in Dubai. CHEC was awarded the Port/Terminal Construction Contractor of the Year for the high-standard construction of the commercial port of Jazan Economic City.

On September 28, the at 2022 Global Ports Forum Awards was held in Dubai. CHEC was awarded the Port/Terminal Construction Contractor of the Year for the high-standard construction of the commercial port of Jazan Economic City. In addition, Hambantota Port in Sri Lanka was awarded the Multi-Purpose Port/Terminal of the Year, and Westport of  Port Klang in Malaysia was awarded the Best Transshipment Hub Port/Terminal of The Year.


The Global Ports Forum was established in Singapore in 2008 aiming to bring together the port industry and promoting the development of the industry through port-related events, seminars and short courses. It is influential in the industry.
The commercial port of Jazan Economic City is located 80 kilometers away from Jazan, the capital of Jazan Province on the Red Sea. It is an important part of Jazan Economic City with four commercial berths. In September this year, the commercial port formally started operation, providing convenient conditions for the development of industries in Jazan Economic City and effectively driving the economic and social development of Jazan Province and the southwest region of Saudi Arabia.
