Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has welcomed the opening of its first two-way eight-lane highway—the reconstruction and extension project of the Lalinhe-Harbin section of the Beijing-Harbin Highway on October 30. The project involves expanding the section from four to eight lanes, with a full length of 71km and designated speed of 120 km/h. The part undertaken by CCCC stretches 35 km in total.
The project is of great significance for comprehensively improving the transportation and service capacity of the Beijing-Harbin Highway in Heilongjiang section, building Harbin into an international comprehensive transportation hub city, boosting the construction of city clusters of Harbin and Changchun, and improving the provincial highway network.
