CCCC signs agreement with SA on Moloto Rail Corridor Project

On September 7, the 2nd Investing in Africa Forum, organized by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the World Bank and the China Development Bank, opened in Guangzhou. Ma Kai, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council attended and addressed the opening ceremony. South African President Jacob Zuma and Zhen Shaohua, Vice President of CCCG and Chairman of the CCCC Supervisory Board were present.
At the forum, on behalf of CCCC, Zhen signed the MOU on Moloto Rail Corridor Project in South Africa with the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. With a full length of 128 km and a contract value of some 2,500 million US dollars, the project is one of the three key intergovernmental cooperation projects signed during this forum.
Zuma said, Moloto Rail Corridor Project signed at the forum is a major cooperative rail project of South Africa and CCCC. The project will improve South Africa's regional transportation infrastructure conditions, and promote regional economic development and employment. The two sides will further deepen cooperation and cement exchanges through transportation infrastructure projects.
