Urumqi beltway project is won by CCCC consortium with contract amount of RMB 15,300 million

On October 10, the consortium initiated by Investment Company in association with First Highway Engineering, Second Highway Engineering, Second Harbour Engineering and Highway Consultants won the bid for the beltway (west line) PPP project in Urumqi, with a total investment of some RMB 15,300 million, a construction period of three years and an operation period of 30 years.


Located in the west of Urumqi, Xinjiang, with a full length of some 92 kilometers, the project will be implemented in the mode of "BOT + equity cooperation + government subsidization". After its completion, the project will further improve Urumqi's road backbone network, and play a significant role in building Urumqi into the core city of the Silk Road Economic Belt, constructing a traffic hub on the "Belt and Road" and promoting the economic development of Urumqi.
