CCCC-aided Fugong Munima Bridge opens to traffic

Amid applause and cheers, the CCCC-aided Fugong Munima Bridge was opened to traffic on July 9 in Fugong County, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

For years, Nujiang’s development had been hindered by imperfect traffic infrastructure. CCCC therefore invested 145 million yuan (about $22.2 million) in designing and building the Munima Bridge, following the construction of Lianxin Bridge. The 609-meter-long bridge has a width of 20.5 meters, two ways and four lanes, and 2.5-meter-wide sidewalks on both sides. Construction of the bridge will make more than 13,000 local residents’ travel easier, further improve the regional road network and promote the coordinated economic development of Fugong in an all-round way.
