Hassyan Power Plant Terminal and Water Intake & Outfall Pipelines Project passes acceptance
Contracted by CCCC’s subsidiary CHEC, the Hassyan Power Plant Terminal and Water Intake & Outfall Pipelines Project in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has passed acceptance recently. The project involves construction of a 5,800-ton coal berth, a 10,000-ton ash berth, a berth for tugboats and working vessels, water intake outfall pipelines, breakwater and other ancillary facilities.
The project is one of the key supporting facilities of the Hassyan power plant, the first clean coal-fired power plant in the Middle East. After going operational, the power plant will supply Dubai with 20% of its power demand and greatly lower local residents’ power costs. It will also contribute to power supply of Expo 2020 Dubai.
