The North-South Highway Connection project of the Wufeng Mountain Yangtze River Bridge in Jiangsu Province passed the acceptance recently. Built by CCCC, the project, also called China’s first “future highway”, adopts 5G technology to integrate technologies such as BIM, big data, IoT, cloud computing with highway construction and set up a holographic sensing data collection and transmission system to make the road smarter. The project has comprehensively improved the expressway’s service capabilities and digital operation and maintenance capabilities.
With two ways and eight lanes, the 33-km project involves construction of the north and south approach bridges, interchanges, toll stations and service areas. It completion will further improve the comprehensive transportation system in the Pearl River Delta region and promote the integral development across the Yangtze River.
