First steel box girder in the closure section of the Peljesac Bridge was hoisted
The first steel box girder in the closure section of the Peljesac Bridge and access roads project was hoisted on June 12. The hoisting of the girder, with a length of 29.7 meters and weighing 357.6 tons, lays a foundation for the bridge’s closure. By now, all of the 165 box girders have arrived at the site and will be hoisted in order. The Peljesac Bridge and access roads project, undertaken by CRBC, is one of the major livelihood projects in Croatia since the foundation of the nation. This long-awaited structure will connect the Croatian peninsula Peljesac with the Croatian mainland, drive local economic development and people-to-people exchanges.
