Yunfu-Maoming Expressway in east China’s Guangdong Province was opened to traffic
Partly built by CCCC, the Yunfu-Maoming Expressway in east China’s Guangdong Province was opened to traffic on June 11. The road, stretching 130 km, has two ways and four lanes and a designated speed of 100 km/h. The section built by CCCC passes eco-sensitive zones and features high difficulties in construction, with bridges and tunnels accounting for 85% of the total engineering tasks. The expressway will significantly shorten the travel time between the mountainous areas in western Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and will promote the regional economic development along the line.
