Drinking water supply system in southern Niger passed acceptance
Undertaken by CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., the project to strengthen and extend the drinking water supply system in the city of Zinder in southern Niger passed acceptance recently. The project supplies the masses with water for domestic use in the Zinder Region and will improve the living standards of the local people.
Since the project was launched in September 2019, the team has overcome difficulties regarding transporting building materials, staff shortages and the global health crisis, to complete the project. During the construction, the project employed local people and offered them special training on prevention and first-aid knowledge, ensuring the health of the staff whilst also raising their safety awareness. The team also improved local traffic conditions by repairing roads nearby when building the reservoir.
