CCCC completes the monopiling of a 737-ton rock-socketed pile of the Putian Pinghai Bay Offshore Wind Power Farm Project

On the vast sea in Xiuyu District, Putian City, east China’s Fujian Province, CCCC team members are carrying out the piling of a 737-ton and 6.7-m diameter rock-socketed pile. After 24 days of efforts, they have completed the monopiling of the 4th type- rock-socketed pile of the Putian Pinghai Bay Offshore Wind Power Farm Project (section II) on March 15, breaking the construction speed record for super-large diameter rock-socketed monopiling in China. The pile has a rock-socketed depth of about 18 m and measures 61 m in length. The project involves construction of China’s largest diameter rock-socketed monopiles, featured by high difficulties brought by complex geology, widely distributed granite and some other factors.
