Dr. OM Romny praises Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway project

Dr. OM Romny, Director General of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia paid a visit to the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway project built by our subsidiary CRBC in Cambodia on January 9.

“The PPSHV Expressway Project is a wonderful project. I’m proud my student is working here,” Dr. OM Romny said after learning about the project and the construction technologies introduced by Daroth Reth and Ho Lyheng, who are graduates of the institute and are now managerial personnel of the project.

The students have made rapid progress at the project, the Director General pointed out, adding that CRBC has prepared them well for their future contributions to Cambodia’s infrastructure development by teaching advanced construction techniques. This has enabled them to better adapt to their posts.

The project has not only been strengthening cooperation with local institutes to offer job opportunities to the graduates, but has also been establishing a systematic talent training mechanism for them. The 190-km expressway is the first expressway in Cambodia. It will shorten the travel time between the capital city of Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville from 5 to less than 2 hours and contribute to Cambodia’s economic growth.
