Project department of the Peljesac Bridge helps local people
On December 29, 2020 local time, a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Croatia just after noon about 30 miles southeast of the capital Zagreb. Many people lost their lives and some were injured, and many buildings were destroyed. Given the harsh winter and the ongoing epidemic, the quake-affected people were in urgent need of tents, sleeping bags, heating devices and other living materials.
Facing this ruthless disaster, our hearts are closely connected with those of our Croatian friends. Our subsidiary CRBC’s project department of the Peljesac Bridge and access roads there immediately called on our staff members and partners to do something to help our friends get through this time of crisis. As of January 1, 2021 local time, they have raised about 22,892 kuna for local disaster relief.
The Peljesac Bridge and access roads project has been actively fulfilling the corporate social responsibilities and implementing localized management and promoting local employment. The project after completion will connect the Croatian peninsula Peljesac with the Croatian mainland, crossing the Mali Ston Bay over the Adriatic Sea.
