Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway opened to traffic

The Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway was opened to traffic on December 22. The 233.5 km-long route is a key part of China’s expressway network and significant for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated transportation system.

Constructed by CCCC, the Tianjin west section of the route has six lanes in both directions, with a length of 12.5 km and a designated speed of 120km per hour. The main construction items include bridges, interchanges, service areas, toll stations, and others.

The opening of the expressway will end the history of detouring on a round trip and help realize a three-hour direct route between Tianjin and Shijiazhuang in north China’s Hebei Province. Meanwhile, it plays an important role in accelerating the integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and optimizing the regional economic layout.
