CCCC is building a 44.5-km ecological and scenic riverside avenue encircling the Chongming Island in Shanghai, China. Construction of the 11.3-km seawalls and landscape roads of the avenue were completed recently. The project will be able to resist high tide levels and winds reaching level 12 on the Beaufort scale. Integrating flood prevention, eco-protection, landscape, and tourism functions, the avenue will allow citizens to indulge themselves in the stunning scenes/scenery on the way, and will be part of the supporting facilities for the 10th China Flower Expo in 2021. In the future, it is also expected to serve large cycle, marathon races and other sports activities.
