World’s 2nd largest single container terminal passes acceptance
Construction of the last container terminal in Chuanshan port area of Ningbo-Zhoushan port in east China’s Zhejiang Province has passed acceptance recently.
With a 330-m shoreline, the terminal is designed to handle 620,000 TEUs annually. It, together with 10 others already built, will make the port area the second largest single container terminal in the world.
The port area will help to alleviate the shortage of container berths in the Yangtze River Delta region and promote the economic development of the Ningbo-Zhoushan port. The CCCC designed, constructed and provided machinery for the port area.
