Rescue and Disaster Relief
Vice President of Colombia Gives Thumb-up for Disaster Relief
On 13 November 2020, due to the impact of a 50-year hurricane in Colombia, heavy rainfall and mudslides occurred in the city of Dabeba, Antioquia Department, where the China Harbour Maddox Expressway project is located. Many parts of the National Trunk Road 62 collapsed and were destroyed, resulting in 3 deaths and 16 missing. The CCCC project department was the first to join the rescue and relief efforts, investing a large number of equipment and personnel to fully support the municipality in removing mud, clearing roads, evacuating the victims and opening up National Highway 62. The project department also organized staff to actively donate money and sent clothes and bedding to the victims, which was highly praised by Colombian Vice President Ramirez.
